Snow Showers Gradually Ending - Then Turning Bitter Cold and Windy

Snow showers are expected to gradually taper off in most areas by late morning or early afternoon, with additional accumulations of a dusting to an inch or so. Flurries may linger, especially to the East of the Hudson Valley. Strong gusty wind and bitterly cold air will follow the snow this afternoon into Saturday with -15 to -25 degree wind chills developing.

When Irene rolled in, they were told to get out!
Residents living along Brunswick Road in Troy had to evacuate their homes when a massive mudslide caused by Irene blew through the area.
