Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

ValleyCats celebrate 'Camp Day' at The Joe

Troy, NY - The Tri-City ValleyCats grabbed a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, and then watched the rest of Tuesday's game fall apart.  Connecticut ralled for an 18-4 rout on 'Camp Day' at Joe Bruno Stadium.

The first pitch was thrown at 11:00am allowing summer campers to attend the game.

What the 3,772 fans in attendance witnessed was the ValleyCats' worst defeat since a 16-0 loss to State College on August 12, 2007.

"The tough (losses) are 3-2, 2-1, or 1-nothing games," said T-C manager Ed Romero.  "We just have to basically come back and forget about it."

The loss snapped the ValleyCats' winning streak at four.  They will open a six-game road trip Wednesday night in Jamestown.
