V'Cats bite Tigers on 'Bark in the Park Night'

Troy, NY - Ryan Bottger's third home run in as many games sparked the Tri-City ValleyCats to a 10-2 win over the Connecticut Tigers in a rain-shortened affair Monday.  Bottger is now six for his last seven.

The start of the game was delayed an hour by rain, then called in the bottom of the fifth.  But it was already an official game, so it counts as the ValleyCats' fourth straight win.

"Bark in the Park" night drew dozens of canines to Joe Bruno Stadium.  Due to tonight's weather conditions there will be another "Bark in the Park" night on July 17th.

Derek Fisher, the 37th overall selection by the Astros last month’s MLB Draft, made his ValleyCats debut in style, reaching base all four times he came to bat. The University of Virginia product finished the night 2-2 with a walk, a hit by pitch, three runs and a stolen base.
