Siena rocks the Pink

Loudonville, NY - Under Armour supplies athletic apparel to the Siena basketball program.  And this summer, some pink sneakers have made their way to the feet of seniors Rob Poole and Evan Hymes.

"Coach (Patsos) always says, 'if you're going to wear pink, you've got to play good'", said Poole following Wednesday's workout at the ARC.  "I like pink."

Patsos has a long relationship with Under Armour, which also dressed his previous teams at Loyola University Maryland.

"We're lucky that we've got a sponsorship with Under Armour," says Patsos.  "Sometimes they send us some fun stuff."

And if pink is good enough for an entertainment icon, it's good enough for the Saints.

"I saw Diana Ross last night," added Patsos.  "She was wearing pink."

And if his players approve, why not?

"They like them.  I'm cool.  Whatever these days."
