Snowstorm Well Underway - Periods of Heavy Snow and Difficult Travel into Tonight

Snowfall rates of 1" to at times 2" per hour are likely this afternoon and this evening across most of the area as low pressure passes to the region's south.  This will cause rapid accumulations and low visibility producing hazardous travel conditions.  The storm will begin winding down after 10-11pm with accumulating snow ending from west to east between 1am and 4am Thursday. Local NCAA Official Hangs Up His Whistle

Albany, NY - Latham native John Cahill (La Salle Institute/Siena College) reached the heights of officiating at the Division I college level.  Following his record 11th Final Four this past April, Cahill decided to hang up his whistle and accept the position of Supervisor of Officials for the Big East Conference.
