Emergency training for guide dogs

MILTON -- The South Glens Falls Fire Department teamed up with Guiding Eyes for the Blind to help train guide dogs for emergency situations.
The dogs were able to hear emergency sirens, see firefighters in their gear, and become more familiar with the emergency workers.  If the dogs pass the test, they will advance to formal guide dog school before they get placed with a visually impaired person.  From there, they will be able to provide service for up to 12 years.
