Snow and Gusty Wind Today - Poor Travel Conditions Expected

A Nor'easter  is expected to impact the region today, but the impact around the Capital Region looks to be on the lighter side, as the storm takes a more Easterly track. Snow will become steadier from SE to NW this morning, with snowfall of varying intensity through this afternoon and evening.  A gusty NNW wind from 15-20 mph at times will cause blowing and drifting of the very dry snow creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions at times through late tonight. General Storm accumulations in the Capital Region of 2-6" are expected, with higher amounts across western New England.

Woodstock man arrested on drug charges

WOODSTOCK - Police in Ulster County have arrested a 70 year old Woodstock man, accused of several drug charges.

Woodstock Police arrested Allyn M. Richardson, also known as, "Grandpa Woodstock", of 135 Tinker Street after an investigation.

Police say there was also a home invasion reported at that address back in mid June.

Members of Ulster County's URGENT team acted on a search warrant on Friday.  Investigators say they found marijuana, diverted pharmaceuticals, electronic scales and drug packaging material.

Richardson was charged with multiple counts of felony possession and sale of a controlled substance.

He was arraigned in Town of Woodstock Court sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
