Moderate to Heavy Snow @ Times to Continue Through the Evening

Narrow bands of moderate to heavy snow continue to evolve across the region in response to the storm developing to our south.  Expect periods of 1" to occasionally 2" per hour snowfall rates through 8-10pm with snowfall becoming lighter and more intermittent through the pre-dawn hours on Thursday. Poor to difficult travel conditions in low visibility and snow packed roads will persist well into the night.  Click Here for the CBS6 Weather Forecast Page

Crash kills 2 in Granville

UPDATE: Police have identified the two people who died in Friday's crash as Mollie Loftie, 20, from Wells, Vermont, and Adam Devino, 28, from Poultney, Vermont.

GRANVILLE -- Two people are dead after a head-on crash on Friday morning along Route 25 in Granville.

Police say when they arrived on the scene, one of the cars was on fire while the other was in the westbound lane. Witnesses tell police that one of the vehicles was attempting to pass another car in a no-pass zone when it ran into an oncoming car.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
