Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Police use taser during arrest

SCHAGHTICOKE - State Police say they had to use a taser after responding to a domestic disturbance in Schaghticoke on Saturday.

Officials say they responded to the residence and found 48-year-old Nelson Simon had allegedly destroyed property and physically menaced the victim.  They say that due to Simon's violent behavior and aggressiveness towards them, a taser was required to take him into custody.

Simon was charged with Fourth Degree Criminal Mischief, Second Degree Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Second Degree Harassment, Third Degree Criminal Tampering, and Third Degree Menacing.
