Police use taser during arrest

SCHAGHTICOKE - State Police say they had to use a taser after responding to a domestic disturbance in Schaghticoke on Saturday.

Officials say they responded to the residence and found 48-year-old Nelson Simon had allegedly destroyed property and physically menaced the victim.  They say that due to Simon's violent behavior and aggressiveness towards them, a taser was required to take him into custody.

Simon was charged with Fourth Degree Criminal Mischief, Second Degree Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Second Degree Harassment, Third Degree Criminal Tampering, and Third Degree Menacing.
