Moderate to Heavy Snow @ Times to Continue Through the Evening

Narrow bands of moderate to heavy snow continue to evolve across the region in response to the storm developing to our south.  Expect periods of 1" to occasionally 2" per hour snowfall rates through 8-10pm with snowfall becoming lighter and more intermittent through the pre-dawn hours on Thursday. Poor to difficult travel conditions in low visibility and snow packed roads will persist well into the night.  Click Here for the CBS6 Weather Forecast Page

Troy police investigating shooting

TROY - Troy police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Tuesday night.

Police say the shooting occurred at around 9:50 p.m. on 6th Avenue just north of 101st Street.

According to police, crews were sent to scene in response to a report of shots fired and a victim of a gunshot wound.  When they arrived they found the victim suffering from a non-life threatening injury.  The victim was transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment.

Officials say that when Detectives and Evidence Technicians processed the scene they found that a residence on Gract Ct had also been hit.

Officials are describing the suspects as two African American males, one in his early 20's and one in his late teens.  Police say the suspects were last seen going north.

Police are asking anyone with any information on this incident to call Troy Detectives as 270-4426.
