Gloversville Officers repond to Domestic Incident

GLOVERSVILLE - A man was arrested by Gloversville Police after they say they responded to a domestic incident on Saturday.

Officials say that when they arrived to the Park Street residence they were met by 30-year-old Chauncey McCabe who told them that he had an altercation with his girlfriend and had defended himself.

Officials say they investigated and found a 23 year old woman on the floor, unresponsive, with what they say were obvious signs of being choked.

The woman was transported to the hospital where she is reportedly in critical condition.

Police say they arrested McCabe and charged him with First Degree Assault.

Anyone with any information on the incident is being asked to contact the Gloversville Police at either 773-4506 or 736-2100.
