Police: Fort Ann man charged with DWI after accident with kids in car

FORT ANN - A Queensbury man was arrested after police say he was intoxicated when he got into an accident with two children in the car.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office say Francis Anderson, Jr. ,37, was driving a Ford Explored at on Shelving Rock Road at around 5:20 when he lost control and rolled over.

At the time of the accident there were two children, ages 9 and 5 in the vehicle.  Neither child was injured.

Police say his BAC was .16%, twice the legal limit.

Anderson was charged felony aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra's Law, numerous vehicle and traffic violations as well as two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Hudson Falls Village Court and remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility for lack of $2500 cash bail.
