Troy woman pleads guilty after leaving dogs in hot car

RENSSELAER COUNTY -- A Troy woman facing animal cruelty charges pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct on Tuesday.

Yessenia Santana was ordered to complete 2 days in the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Work Order Program. She is accused of leaving two dogs in a hot car in a Hudson Valley Community College parking lot last month.

Police say the dogs were in the car for three hours without food or water while the outside temperature was 81 degrees. Officers were able to get the dogs out of the vehicle.
