Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Police: Halfmoon woman charged with DWI after three car accident

MALTA - State Police have arrested a Halfmoon woman, charging her with driving while intoxicated after a three car accident in Malta on Friday night.

Police say 51 year-old Sherri Lourie rear ended a vehicle stopped in her lane on Route 9 in front of the Ripe Tomato restaurant.  The vehicle she struck then struck the vehicle in front of it.

The driver of the vehicle Lourie struck was taken to Albany Medical Center for evaluation.  The driver of the third vehicle was not injured.

Lourie consented to a blood draw by police and was charged with DWI.
