Amsterdam casino application disqualified by NYS Gaming Commission

NEW YORK  - Amsterdam is disqualified.  That is according to the NYS Gaming Commission after a unanimous decision to disqualify the Florida Acquisition Group after submission requirements were not met.

Numerous tweets from the NYS gaming Commission confirm that the license application was disqualified stating, "Board recognizes the economic need in Amsterdam community, but notes that the application is wholly incomplete and to consider the proposal would be unfair to those applicants who filed full applications."

This disqualification brings the competition for casinos down to four, Rensselear, Cobleskill, Schenectady, and East Greenbush.
