Hard Rock officials visit location of proposed casino

RENSSELAER -- Hard Rock International paid a visit on Monday to the city it soon hopes to call home.

Talking with reporters at Da Laet's Landing in Rensselaer, Chairman James Allen says the casino would be more than just a gaming facility. He says it will be a full-scale entertainment venue, but would respect other venues already in the area.

The location in Rensselaer is just one of five casinos proposed for Upstate New York. The others are in Schenectady, East Greenbush, Amsterdam and at Howe Caverns in Schoharie County.
