EAST GREENBUSH - Police have arrested an East Greenbush man after they say he assaulted a Castleston woman.

Police say Shawn Riley of Poplar Street was witnessed slamming the 31 year-old woman into the pavement in front of his home then carried into the house.

The woman was located by police inside a bedroom with lacerations to her face, arms and legs.  She was taken to Albany Medical Center, where she was treated and released, according to police.

Riley was charged with assault and issued a stay away order of protection. He is due back in court at the end of July.
