Snow and Gusty Wind on Tuesday - Poor Travel Conditions Expected

A Nor'easter  is expected to impact the region today, but the impact around the Capital Region looks to be on the lighter side, as the storm takes a more Easterly track. Snow will become steadier from SE to NW this morning, with snowfall of varying intensity through this afternoon and evening.  A gusty NNW wind from 15-20 mph at times will cause blowing and drifting of the very dry snow creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions at times through late tonight. General Storm accumulations in the Capital Region of 2-6" are expected, with higher amounts across western New England.

Crews searching Mt Greylock for 2 missing teens

UPDATE: Officials confirm the teens have been found and reunited safely with their families.

ADAMS - Officials say there is a search underway for two middle school students on Mount Greylock.

Officials say that the two students, ages 13 and 14, one boy and one girl were participating in a summer program with the Pittsfield Summer Youth Program

Officials say the two were separated during a decent from the mountain on Thursday afternoon at around 2:00 p.m. when they ran ahead of the group on the hike.

The search is being conducted by State police with assistance from Adams police with K9 units, State Police Air Wing, as well as the Adams Forest Wardens.  A staging area has been set up at West Mountain Road in Adams.
