Preparations underway for Saratoga Co. Fair

SARATOGA COUNTY -- The Saratoga County Fair is going back to its roots.

The fair is traditionally held the last full week of July, but in recent years, that date has crept forward in the calendar, sometimes starting as early as the 12th or 13th.

This year, organizers announced they are returning to the old time slot, July 22nd through the 27th. Fair goers can enjoy the festivities from 9 a.m. to midnight each day.

CBS6 stopped by the fair on Monday while preparations were underway. Organizers say the earlier dates tend to be too early for both the growing season and the exhibitors who are preparing displays.
