Fingerprint leads to 7 years in prison
ALBANY -- Officials say a fingerprint landed an Albany man in prison for 7 years.
Robert Tarver, 21, was sentenced to 7 years in prison on burglary charges. He pleaded guilty to breaking into a home on Franklin Street in Albany by throwing a rock through a window and unlocking the door. Once inside, he took a laptop, video game system and a pair of sneakers.
Authorities were able to apprehend Tarver after recovering a fingerprint from the scene that matched the suspect's prints already on file.
