Jury finds Albany man guilty of stragulation, drug charges

ALBANY -- An Albany man was found guilty on Friday on strangulation and drug charges.

Ernest Muller, 45, was charged with strangulation in the second degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal sale of a controlled substance. The charges stem from a July 2013 incident when police were called to reports of an assault in Watervliet. The jury found that Muller had strangled the female victim, causing her to lose consciousness.

Muller is now facing up to 12 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.
