Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Carlisle man arrested for DWI

DUANESBURG - State Police say they arrested a Carlisle man for Aggravated DWI after he refused field sobriety tests.

Police say 29-year-old Jacob Bradt was stopped by troopers near the intersection of Routes 20 and 30 in the Town of Duanesburg.  Police say that they detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from Brandt's breath.  According to police Bradt refused field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.

According to police after he was transported to the State Police Station in Princetown where he was found to have a Blood Alcohol Content of .26 percent.

Police say Bradt was released on tickets ordering him to appear on court at a later date.
