ALBANY Its a reunion between two nurses at Albany Medical Center, and the young mother and baby whose lives they saved.

Morton was rushed to Albany Medical Center, where nurses Kim Kahn and Lisa Welster along with other doctors and nurses saved Morton and her then-unborn daughter, Charlotte. Both Mortons are now doing fine.

Kahn and Welster were honored with the Prestigious Pillars of Nursing Awards on Wednesday. The awards recognize excellence in patient care and leadership.
