Low pressure developing off the Southeast coast will quickly move northeast tracking south of New England through Wednesday night as colder air arrives to produce a moderate to heavy snow storm for much of the region.  Snow will develop quickly Wednesday morning and fall heavily at times through the afternoon and evening before tapering off and ending before daybreak on Thursday.  Expect difficult travel conditions with snow packed roads and low visibility through the duration of this storm.  Click Here for the CBS6 Weather Forecast Page

Rensselaer Co. men cited for shooting at turkey buzzard

PITTSTOWN - Two Rensselaer County men were cited after responding to a complaint about them shooting at a turkey buzzard near their home.

State Police say Thomas Fuller was arrested after the witness approached him and Daniel Kocienski and saw Fuller fire a rifle over his head at the turkey buzzard.  Police say when a trooper and an ENCON Officer arrived at the scene, they discovered a dead rabbit where the men were allegedly standing.

Fuller was charged with the following ENCON violations: Shooting within 500 feet of a dwelling, Hunting turkey with a rifle, Taking small game out of season, Shooting over a public highway, and Illegally attempting to take a protected species.  He was also charged with Second Degree Reckless Endangerment.  Kocienski was ticketed for Taking small game out of season.
