Traffic accident leads to arrests
LIVINGSTON - A hit and run accident turned into arrests for both parties involved.
State Police responded to an accident on the Taconic Parkway on Wednesday after 38 year-old Malcolm Sidbury, was driving southbound on the parkway when 57 year-old Thomas Robbins allegedly attempted to pass him, side swiping his vehicle.
Police say they located both cars on Route 82. It was after an investigation that police say that Robbins was intoxicated, and Sidbury was allegedly under the influence of drugs.
Both men were arrested
Robbins was charged with DWI after police say his blood alcohol content registered a .25%, over three times the legal limit. He was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident and other traffic infractions.
Sidbury was charged with driving while under the influence of drugs. and was issued tickets.
Both are due back in court in May.
