Ex-coach, in 2nd case, admits sex child acts

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) -- A former basketball coach already convicted in New York state court for sexual assaults on children has pleaded guilty to similar charges in federal court.

The U.S. attorney's office said Wednesday that Richard Dinizo of Cortlandt Manor has admitted sexually abusing seven children under 11 years old.

It says he also recorded the abuse and transported the videos out of state. Prosecutors said he blindfolded the children.

When sentenced in September, Dinizo could receive a term of anywhere from 15 to 170 years.

In February, after pleading guilty in state court, he was sentenced to 25 years to life for sex acts with three grade-school girls.

State prosecutors said Dinizo had coached at various schools and leagues but had not coached the girls involved.
