Occasional Snow To Continue Into the Evening, Slow and Slick Travel Persisting

Patchy areas of light snow wil persist through the evening with brief localized bursts of moderate snow possible through 8pm.  Additional snow accumulations will be spotty and light, generally 1" or less through the evening.  The cold air in place will continue to support slow and slippery travel conditions with less traveled roads, parking lots, and sidewalks remaining snow covered through the night.

Plans take shape for Union Hockey parade

SCHENECTADY -- Plans are taking shape to honor Union's Skating Dutchmen's first hockey championship in the college's history.

The Dutchmen beat Minnesota 7 to 4 on Saturday in the Frozen Four. Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy says they want to put on a parade to celebrate the victory.

The parade will be held on Thursday. It will start at 4 p.m. on the Union College Campus and end at Schenectady City Hall. See a map of the parade route here: Parade Route.jpg.
