Troy engineer stepping down

TROY -- Troy City Engineer Russ Reeves is stepping down after about a decade on the job.

The announcement comes after an interview with the FBI about three projects overseen by other city leaders. They include the emergency demolition of a 19th Century building on King Street last August while Reeves was on vacation, as well as a city-owned site that was on track to be sold until the City Council nixed the deal.

Reeves says his resignation will go into effect next month.
