Low pressure developing off the Southeast coast will quickly move northeast tracking south of New England today into tonight as colder air arrives to produce a moderate to heavy snow storm for much of the region.  Rain & Snow will develop quickly this morning, change to snow, and fall heavily at times through the afternoon and evening before tapering overnight.  Expect difficult travel conditions with snow packed roads and low visibility today/tonight  Click Here for the CBS6 Weather Forecast Page

Volunteers clean up canals

WATERFORD - Volunteers gathered for the ninth annual "Canal Clean Sweep" of the New York State Canals and Canalway Trail.

On Saturday between 9 a.m. and noon the volunteers were joined by the New York State Canal Corporation Director Brian Stratton.  Mr. Stratton met the crews along various locks in Niskayuna, Waterford, and Rexford.

The whole canal system is comprised of four different waterways.  These waterways are the Erie, the Champlain, the Oswego, and the Cayuga-Seneca Canals.
