Arrest made in fatal shooting at upstate NY bar

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. (AP) -- Police say they've made an arrest in a shooting inside a Hudson Valley bar where a man was killed and a woman wounded last weekend.

Town of New Paltz Police Chief Joseph Snyder says Wednesday that a person has been arrested in the fatal shooting early Sunday morning at Murphy's Restaurant and Pub in the village of New Paltz.

Snyder says no other details are being released until a news conference being held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the police department.

Authorities say 29-year-old Ryan Gray of Poughkeepsie was killed and a 26-year-old woman was wounded by gunfire early Easter morning as the bar was crowded with dozens of patrons. The pub is popular with SUNY New Paltz students but officials say no students were injured.
