Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Niskayuna names interim Superintendent

UPDATE -- 10:30PM -- The Niskayuna School Board named Dr. Charles Dedrick the district's acting Superintendent.
The district reports that Dr. Dedrick is expected to serve the role of acting Superindendent on a meeting-to-meeting bases until an interim superintendent is appointed.  The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for April 22.

NISKAYUNA -- The Niskayuna School Board will hold a special meeting Tuesday night to select an acting Superintendent.

Dr. Charles Dedrick is expected to take over the position from Susan Kay Salvaggio. Salvaggio announced she was leaving the position earlier this month after serving in the role for almost 3 years. In a statement, the board cited philosophical differences with Salvaggio as the reason for her resignation.

Tuesday's meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the district office.
