Cops ID man fatally shot inside Hudson Valley bar

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. (AP) -- Authorities are seeking the public's help in finding the person who fatally shot a man and wounded another person inside a Hudson Valley bar over the weekend.

Police in the Ulster County village of New Paltz on Sunday night identified the slain man as 29-year-lld Ryan Gray of Poughkeepsie. The wounded person's name hasn't been released, but police say that person is in stable condition.

Officials say the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Sunday inside Murphy's Restaurant and Bar on Main Street in New Paltz, 65 miles south of Albany.

The gunfire sent dozens of patrons scrambling for the exits. The tavern is popular with students at SUNY New Paltz, but officials say no students were shot.

The shooter remains at large. No other information was immediately available from police Monday morning.
