911 services restored in Warren Co.

UPDATE: The company that manages the 911 services in Warren County says that service has been restored to effected areas of Luzerne, Hadley, Corinth and the Stony Creek area.  The cause is blamed on broken fiber optic line.

WARREN COUNTY -- Landline 911 service in Warren County went down on Friday.

Officials say cellular 911 service is still operational, but landline service is not available in the Luzerne, Hadley, Corinth and Stony Creek area. The outage was caused by a fiber optic break on State Route 9N near Antone Mountain Road.

They estimate that about 3,500 customers are without the service in the 654 and 696 exchanges.

Crews are working to restore the service, but do not know when it will be operational. In the mean time, callers can contact the Warren County Sheriff's Office at (518) 743-2501 and select option 1.
