Verdict reached in Stephenstown vehicular homicide case

RENSSELEAR COUNTY - A Stephentown man, charged with aggravated vehicular manslaughter, was found guilty on Friday.

Prosecutors say Brendan Hoffman was driving drunk back in 2012 when he lost control of his car on Cranston Hill Road, causing his passenger and close friend, Chris Baker to be ejected. Investigators say Hoffman left the scene before police got there. It was only hours later they became aware that there had been another person in the car when it crashed.

Hoffman's attorneys say he was not the driver of the car when it crashed.
