UPDATE: Transmission line issue causes local power outages

UPDATE - 10:00 PM - National Grid reports that some 7,000 customers in the Amsterdam area saw only low voltage service restored.  A spokesperson tells CBS6 that they hope to have everyone restored shortly.

UPDATE - 9:00 PM - National Grid reports that service has been restored to all customers in Montgomery, Fulton, and Saratoga Counties.
A National Grid spokesperson reports that issues with a transmission line caused the outage.  She told CBS6 that once all customers were switched over and service was restored, they began investigating what specifically caused the problems on the transmission line.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY -- Power outages have been reported in western portions of the Capital Region on Tuesday night.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office reports that central and eastern Montgomery County are without power, but the 911 Center is still operational.  They have advised that anyone with an emergency should contact 911 or go to their local fire department until the power has returned.
National Grid is reporting more than 9,000 customers without power in Montgomery County.  They have also reported nearly 7,000 customers in the dark in Fulton County, and nearly 3,000 customers without power in Saratoga County.
