Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Police: Pregnant woman arrested for baby formula theft

SCHENECTADY - A Schenectady woman was arrested when a shoplifting complaint turned into drug charges.

State Police say Christel McGuire, who admitted to police that she was 7 months pregnant, was seen on camera putting cans of formula into her bag and left the store without paying.

After arresting her for petit larceny, she was found to be in possession of 2 used hypodermic needles.  McGuire admitted to using heroin that morning.

Police also found she was wanted on outstanding warrants in Schenectady and Rotterdam.

She was arraigned and sent to the Schenectady County Jail pending bail.
