Police investigating attempted murder in North Greenbush

NORTH GREENBUSH - North Greenbush Police are investigating an attempted murder that occurred shortly before 9:30am Monday morning.

Police say 41-year-old Joseph Adamo, Jr. was taken into custody after they responded to a report that a female was stabbed at 37 Kent Street.  According to police when they arrived they found Mr. Adamo in the driveway and his wife Gina Adamo in the residence with multiple stab wounds.  Mrs. Adamo was taken to Albany Medical Center to be treated.

According to police Joseph Adamo was charged with Second Degree Attempted Murder, First Degree Assault, and Fourth Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon.  He was arraigned at North Greenbush Town Court with no bail.

Chief Robert Durivage said that the investigation is continuing and he asked that anyone with any information to call the North Greenbush Police at 283-5323.
