Police search for clues in car dealership vandalism

WHITEHALL -- Police are searching for clues and asking for the public's help in an investigation into a vandalism incident over the weekend.

Whitehall Police say they received a report on Sunday morning that several cars at a Poultney Street car dealership had been vandalized. Investigators say at least 15 vehicles were hit, with damage done to windshields, mirrors, head and tail lights, and side windows. According to officials, thousands of dollars of damage was done to the vehicles.

Police are asking anyone who might have seen anything suspicious between midnight and 9 a.m. on Sunday in the area of the Smith Street Auto Lot to call them at (518) 499-1316, or submit a tip on their website at www.whitehallpolice.org.
