Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Activists gather to urge action on AIDS

ALBANY -- Hundreds gathered  at the well of the Legislativve Office Building on Wednesday with the goal of ending AIDS in New York.

The group has a simple message - end the AIDS epidemic by 2020. The ralliers call themselves Vocal New York, and they are made up of people living with the disease and their supporters. On Wednesday, that included state and community leaders.

They say New York has the knowledge and means to ensure all people living with HIV get the best possible care. New York has already seen the number of cases diagnosed in the last decade drop by 40 percent.
