Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

State Police use social media to help locate wanted

ALBANY - State Police are using social media and the public's help to locate those wanted on warrants.

Governor Cuomo announced on Wednesday,  State Police will be using Facebook, launching "Warrant Wednesday" Beginning February 5, wanted posters will be added to the New York State Police Facebook page.

Previously posted images have let to the identification and arrest of several individuals.

"Warrant Wednesday" can be viewed at www.facebook.com/nyspolice.  They can also be viewed at the New York State Police Twitter page at @nyspolice.

Police stress, if you recognize anyone, to call state police and to not approach the suspect yourself.
