ATF offers reward in Schenectady fire
SCHENECTADY -- The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced on Wednesday that they are offering a reward for information leading to a conviction for the person responsible for a fire last year.
The ATF is offering up to $10,000 as a reward for information related to a May 2, 2013 fire at 438 Hulett Street that killed four people. The Schenectady Police Department and County Arson Task Force are also offering an additional $15,00 and $500 in rewards.
"This senseless and horrific act resulted in the deaths of four people, of which three were young, innocent children," says ATF's New York Field Division Special Agent in Charge Thomas Cannon.
The fire also seriously injured a 5-year-old girl and destroyed the building.
Anyone with information is asked to call the ATF Albany Field Office at (518) 431-4182.
