Glenville Police arrest man after short pursuit

GLENVILLE - Glenville Police arrested a man who led them on a short pursuit after allegedly stealing a car.

Police say Jesse Montgomery of Schenectady was arrested after they received a call about a suspicious vehicle at a driveway and was seen heading towards Route 50.  According to police Montgomery was failing to keep right and weaving while driving southbound.

Police say that when they tried to pull him over, Montgomery fled at a high speed.  He then lost control of his vehicle and rolled the car over several times.  Montgomery then allegedly briefly tried to escape on foot but was finally caught by police.

Police later discovered that the Acura he was driving was a stolen vehicle from the Town of Colonie.

The female passenger in the car sustained minor injuries and was sent to Ellis Hospital for treatment.

Montgomery was sent to County jail with no bail.
