Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Snow removal across the Capital Region

CBS6 Crews were out across the Capital Region covering this snowstorm from every angle.

Snow removal crews in Ballston Spa were busy out on the roads trying to keep them clear for these drivers.

While in Schenectady people had a hard time getting their cars going on snow covered streets.

We ran into one driver who had their car banked in after the plows went by.
Plows had a hard time keeping up with all of the snow because it was falling so fast.

Finally in Hudson it is a more peaceful scene as a group of horses seemed to be taking the snow in stride.

The horses were let out of their stalls at the Whispering Meadows Farm in Hudson for a couple of hours.

The owner says, just like we humans, some of the horses like the snow and some do not.
