Is your smartphone spying on you?
You have probably heard that you can be tracked through your cell phone, but you may not realize how detailed the information can be.
If you have an iPhone, the settings include a detailed history of where you have been and how often you have been there. And on Android devices, it is all plotted on Google Maps.
GPS and WiFi networks pinpoint your every move and send the information back to tech companies.
If you want to turn it off, follow these steps:
- On an Android got to settings, select location services, and uncheck GPS and Wifi.
- On an iPhone, go to settings, click privacy, then select location services. Scroll down to systems services, where you'll find frequent locations, and turn that feature off.
