Governor discusses storm preps

NEW YORK -- Governor Cuomo held a conference call on Thursday to talk about the state's preparations for the day's storm.

He called on all Thruway and State Department of Transportation offices to be fully staffed for the duration of the storm. He also activated the State Emergency Operation Center.

As of noon, there were about 2,000 vehicles and 4,000 workers on the clock across New York gearing up for storm coverage. Cuomo promised there were almost 300,000 tons of salt on hand as well.
