Bail set for man accused of setting house on fire

KNOX -- Bail was set Tuesday morning for the man police say set fire to buildings on his property last Wednesday night, then blocked his driveway to prevent anyone from getting in to put the flames out.

Firefighters say they were threatened and turned away from the home on Saddlemire road in Knox by homeowner Kenneth Fortuin. They called State Police who eventually located him hours later in a field on his property. Hostage negotiators were called in to end the incident.

Fortuin is being held on $150,000 bail. He is facing charges of arson and obstructing a firefighting operation.
