Freight company cuts 112 jobs

FULTON COUNTY -- National Freight says it is cutting 112 jobs in Johnstown.

The transportation services company says they are closing the Johnstown plant and cutting the jobs because of a lost contract. According to  documents, the plant is scheduled to be closed on April 1.

There is some silver lining to the story, National Freight's Senior Vice President Scott Brucker says most, if not all, of the 112 employees will be picked up by the company that outbid National Freight.
