Eleanor Roosevelt ranked as top First Lady
LOUDONVILLE - A recent poll conducted by C-SPAN and the Siena College Research Institute ranked Eleanor Roosevelt as the top First Lady.
The poll was based on input from 240 historians, scholars and political scientists. The ranking is based on ten attributes including value to the country, accomplishments and, for the first time, who was the greatest asset and liability to their President.
The current First Lady Michelle Obama ranked in the fifth spot. While Hillary Clinton dropped to sixth on the list, she was also voted as the First Lady who is the most Presidential material. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt were ranked as the top "power couple."
