Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Streets closed to parking in Troy for snow removal

TROY -- Troy officials say a number of streets have been designated for snow removal on Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During that time, no parking will be allowed on the following streets, in addition to all streets regularly scheduled for street cleaning on Thursday:15th Street Congress to Hoosick
  • Washington Street
  • Lansing Avenue
  • Upper Walker Avenue

Troy Police will begin ticketing and towing at 6 a.m. on the following streets:

  • 6th and 7th Avenue / 101st Street to 103rd Street
  • 6th, 7th and 8th Avenue / 106th Street to 116th Street
  • Pawling Avenue, both sides, from Sheldon to the City line
