Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

UAlbany hosts sixth annual Global Game Jam

ALBANY - Both professional and amateur video and board game creators participated in the Global Game Jam at the University at Albany, finishing up the weekend event on Sunday.

The event started on Friday when participants pitched ideas for a game then were split into groups consisting of programmers, artists, musicians, writers, and designers.

The participants then work day and night until Sunday when the games had to be uploaded and voted on. 

The event was co-organized by 1st Playable Productions.
